Probably the most famous scene on the White Pass is where the tracks cross a wooden trestle and then duck into a tunnel. Three MLW's have the afternoon train in tow.

Approaching the Summit, we find a cantilever bridge that is no longer used by the railroad. The bridge spans a spectacular canyon.

TT3802

The train bypasses the cantilever bridge by crossing a new steel trestle and making a sharp turn into a tunnel.

TT3803

Up at Fraser, we catch up with the Lake Bennett train. The view of the boxcar and single unit give a feel for what freight service must have been like on the WP&YR. No regular freight has been hauled on the line for at least two decades.
