1998 NRHS Syracuse Convention

On July 8th, the Adirondack Scenic provided a trip from Utica, New York, to Thendara. New York Central-painted RS3 8223 and Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern C425 2453 led the northbound train at Forestport.

The activity on Friday, July 10th, was a short trip over New York, Susquehanna & Western's OnTrack service around Syracuse, using three RDC's.

Following the RDC trip, a Susquehanna freight led by C430 3006 rumbled south through the Armory Square station past 2-8-2 142.

On Saturday, July 11th, NYS&W's Chinese-built 2-8-2 142 powered a trip from Syracuse to Chenango Forks. The steamer was accompanied by the Lackaweanna E8s as it passed through Jamesville.
