At the north end of the fill, the tracks enter a curve and cross a small bridge over Runk Road. A classic through-truss bridge can be seen on Runk Road just west of the EBT fill.

A colorful stand of trees sit just north of the Runk Road bridge.

Just north of the fill is a wye for turning trains to return south at Colgate Grove. The photo line remained in the field near the fill while the train proceeded north and switched its consist to keep the combine on the rear and the boxcar up front (the train was too long to fit in the wye). The photographers were ready when the train emerged from the woods heading south.

Blue skies were present for most of the day, making a nice backdrop for the train on the fill. The day before the area was under heavy cloud cover, with rain the night before the trip. The following day, the Aughwick Valley was in dense fog for most of the morning. The trip couldn't have been run on a better day.
