This section was set up on September 24, 1998.

On September 19, 1998, the United Railroad Historical Society operated an excursion from Hoboken, New Jersey, to Waldwick and Mount Olive using its "Erie" painted E8s.


The trip originated from the former Lackawanna terminal in Hoboken.

The first photo stop was at the former Erie Kingsland station.

The train posed under the signals at Waldwick. The trip covered both the Main Line and Bergen County Line.

The New York & Greenwood Lake Railroad met the special at Garfield. The power for the NY&GL is Erie SW9 436, owned by the URHS and leased to the short line.
